My name is Daniel and I am a bit of a history nut. By no means am I a historian nor did I study history at an university. My interest in history started in school, however I was more fascinated by this (back then) relatively new technology called computers, so I became a software engineer. This is what I still do for a living to this day.
I love to spend my free time on the motorcycle and to visit lots of towns every year (private and business). If you visit a city and you check out the places of interest, most of time you can’t appreciate it fully without knowing its historical context. Back then,in the previous millennium, you just had to buy books and read a lot. This way I gained some knowledge about the history of Europe in general.
In this podcast I want to familiarize you with the cornerstone of a country’s major historical events sorted by time . By having such a timeline you can fit events, buildings or sights easier into your frame of reference. Each season I discuss another country from the antike to the modern area.
